Food Recall: Lean Pockets Spinach Artichoke Chicken Sandwich

The U.S. Department of Agriculture has announced that Nestle Prepared Foods Company is recalling frozen pocket sandwiches due to two consumer complaints. Small bits of plastic may be embedded in the product, which can cause injury.

Nestle is recalling almost 200,000 pounds of Lean Pockets Spinach Artichoke Chicken sandwiches which come in 9 ounce packages. The recall effects sandwiches produced on May 23rd of this year, with a Best Before Date of Nov 2009. The packaging code to look for on the side of the box begins with "8144 544616" and has an establishment number of "P7721A."

Only the Spinach Artichoke Chicken sandwiches with the abovementioned packaging code and establishment number are effected.

You can return the product to the store where it was purchased or you can call the Nestle Consumer Services Center at 800-350-5016.
