Homeopathic science is based on laws that are yet invisible to our modern devices, and our senses. Yet homeopathic cures are tangible evidence of its efficacy. All organic life is a merely carbon-based mix of elements. If you remove all the space that spin the atoms of our cells, the total amount of actual material “stuff” in our bodies would only fill a teaspoon. Samuel Hahnemann, the founder of homeopathy, called this energy the Vital Force.
Hahnemann was brought up in the rationalistic thinking of the enlightenment. Impressed by Romantic thinkers and their rejection of what had dominated the Age of Reason, Hahnemann took inspiration from Kant, Schelling, and the School of Naturphilopshie. He followed the philosophers Decartes, Spinoza and Leibnitz. He went on to be a proponent of Vitalism and the Naturalism of Schelling and Heel The further Hahnemann investigated dynamisation, dilution, and long intervals between small doses, the more he found that, "the essential material had to yield more and more ground and the purely spiritual (dynamic) came more and more into the forefront." His work began utilizing extremely high dilutions, "such as cannot be perceived by the senses or determined by science,"
Hahnemann described the process of potentizing homeopathic remedies as: "to liberate the medicinal power from its material bonds." The spirit-like, Vital Force he found in man, he also found in plants and minerals. This power he felt, was released by the power of succussion and dilution that created homeopathic medicine.
Science does not yet have instruments to measure homoeopathic remedies or their actions. But the proof is in the pudding, with cured cases over many generations, in hundreds of nations. Around the world, homeopathic hospitals treat cancer, arthritis, diabetes. and other chronic diseases with great success.
But, the fact remains, that homeopathy has an immaterial element. To practice homeopathy is to delve into a subterranean realm, a realm of great sensitivity, where insight and extensive listening on a fathomless channel can bring about physical changes so profound as to confound logic. The results can be astounding, beyond our expectations of physical transformation.
Anyone who studies human anatomy can only deduce that we were created by some kind of cosmic design. The human brain alone is cause for contemplation. Loren Eisley, humanistic philosopher, states that if anyone could explain to him how the human brain evolved from one, single cell, he would spend the rest of his money hiring a sky writer to draw exclamation points in the sky.
Current research in the memory of water, or Ie Crystals, shows some promise in understanding the working mechanism of homeopathy. Perhaps research in the new quantum physics will provide an explanation. Research in programs such as the Veritas Research Program of the Laboratory for Advances in Consciousness and Health at the University of Arizona holds promise for understanding numerous laws that govern the unseen energy forces around us.
Gary Schwartz heads the Laboratory for Advances in Consciousness and Health, as well as the Center for Frontier Medicine in Biofield Science. Educated at both Harvard and Yale, Dr. Schwartz has authored hundreds of academic papers on the topics of energy. He believes that G.O.D “Guiding, Organizing Designing,” is the process that animates the universe. It is this animating process that homeopaths study in the medicines and the cases of homeopathic cure.
Can we define our bodies with empiric certainty or scientific exactitude? Or do we define ourselves as filled with Life Force or Dynamism?
Homeopathy finds the deepest part of the soul and liberates it. Homeopathy touches the creative force, the spark that is the deepest, most generative part of our Vital Force. The remedies speak to the intrinsic primal force that once inspired our very inception. If life begins at conception (which many scientists believe, regardless of their political beliefs about a woman's right to choice) then there must be some kind of creative entity or spark that draws to the developing embryo the elements it needs to carry the soul into the body. It is this very entity that is addressed by homeopathic remedies.
Homeopathy is immeasurable by today’s standards. Yet homeopathy has shown a long history in cure. Someday soon, we will know the mechanism of that cure. As Hahnemann advised us in Latin, Aude sapere. Dare to know.
