Constance Rock, LM, CPM and Aleksandra Evanguelidi, LM, CPM

Constance Rock, LM, CPM, began attending births in 1987 to provide other women with the support and nurturing that was missing in her own hospital birth experience. Three years later after an empowering home birth with her second child, she became clear the midwifery was her path and passion. She began her midwifery training in 1991, started a home birth practice based in Los Angeles in 1996, and in February 2000, Constance completed the California Challenge Process and became a California Licensed Midwife.

In June 2000 she opened The Hollywood Birth Center. She was clinical director of this thriving practice for 5 years, providing care to over 400 families, while implementing a midwifery training program and producing educational videos. In 2005, she co-founded a home birth practice and midwifery training program called Sacred Entrance Midwifery Services with her partner Aleksandra Evanguelidi. This led to the opening of The Sanctuary Birth & Family Wellness Center in Santa Monica, where she continues her practice of gentle birth.

Aleksandra Evanguelidi, LM, CPM, has been a California Licensed Midwife and Certified Professional Midwife since July 2006. After she received her midwifery license Aleksandra co-founded a home birth practice and midwifery training program called Sacred Entrance Midwifery Services with her partner Constance Rock. Aleks has also been a nutritionist for the last 10 years.

The work Aleks does as a spiritual counselor is interwoven into her unique style of midwifery. Aleksandra is passionately committed to bringing knowledge of self-care to families such that they experience radiant health and an empowered sense of self.
